Some Facts about Cardio

Mcaloriesake sure you get the cardio work done regularly! It will help you burn extra calories and get rid of stubborn fat! It could be anything- you name it: running, walking, biking, jump roping, hiking, doing my favorite burpees :),Β  etc. Whatever you choose,Β  you have to bring your heart rate up and sweat! If it’s easy, you should probably push yourself a little and increase speed or intensity. Don’t expect to burn 500 calories by cycling for an hour and reading a book. Focus and work hard. No pain, no gain.

Never rains in Southern California!

rainbowFHave you heard that story or a song, in which it never rains in Southern California’ ? It’s a LIE!!Β It does rain here and sometimes even pours! Moreover, we have beautiful rainbows, like this one on a picture. If you look closely you can see the second rainbow, fading in the corner.Β  I took this picture this afternoon on a way home.Β  Guess there will be no outdoor activities for me today…Β  I’m gonna have a cup of coffee and do a quick workout at home. If it rains where you are, don’t use rainy weather as an excuse toΒ  get lazy on a couch in front of a TV. Find a short and easy workout, or even stretch for 15 min. Believe me, you’ll feel better.

Kill Cravings and Smell yourself lighter!

bananApparently your sense of smell can help you drop extra pounds. Some researches think that certain scents can curb you cravings. Based on conducted experiments, people who smelled banana, peppermint or green apple several times a day, lost more weight on average. Not a bad idea. Keep a banana or an apple nearby and smell it occasionally. Who knows, maybe it will work for you and kill those nasty cravings. Let me know what happens.Β  I’m definitely gonna give it a try. Short Warm-up and stretching Before Exercise β˜…

Many people ignore any form of warm ups thinking it’s a waste of time. Wrong. Even a short and easy warm up can increase the blood flow to the muscles, which decreases muscle stiffness and decreases risks of injury. You will feel better and you will perform better so please, don’t neglect warm ups! This video is a great example of a short pre-workout warm up. If you plan to do Tabata or HIIT or any form of intense cardio, I encourage you to devote a couple of minutes for an additional warm up, or perform first couple minutes slower with much less intensity. If you plan to lift weights, also allow some time for an extra warm up. Personally, I like to do first round with a set of light weights before reaching for heavy dumbbells.Β  I feel better and it helps me to push myself harder later into my workout.

Who doesn’t want six pack abs, Β small waistline or just a flat stomach. We all do want great abs!Β  Many people suffer from lower back pain because their core is not strong enough. Try this fantastic workout. It can be beneficial for all of you. Beginners, when doing planks put one of your knees down for support when needed. It will be hard for a couple of times but this will make you much stronger and sexier πŸ˜‰ Think of your flat stomach and shaped muscles. Positive thoughts will help you push through the exercises. How long does it take to see results from working out? β˜… When will I see some changes?

There are so many highly motivated people who pick up a workout and the next day stand in front of the mirror looking for results. I hope it’s not you!Β  It takes time, commitment and long hours of hard, very HARD work to see your body changing πŸ™‚ In addition to daily physical regimen, there is even more important aspect: your Diet!Β  You can spend hours sweating and exercising and you will not see much improvement if you don’t eat right! You have to start eating healthy – the sooner, the better. Besides, it’s not about how long it takes to see first results from working out, it’s about achieving your goals, getting to know your body, improving your physical health, fitness, personal challenge, and mostly: process πŸ˜‰Β  Watch this video
